Events
Earlier this spring (2000) I ran into Justin Huges' website and found out that he lived rather close to where I did. I introduced myself, drove up to see his car, mine was still in the shop at the time, had some lunch, and learned a great deal about Justin and his autocrossing adventures. Make sure to check out his page and read about the autocross events he has attended. After listening to many of Justins autocrossing adventures, I decided that I wanted to give it a shot when I got my car back and broken in. The first autocross I attended, I was just a spectator and I even volunteered to work for one of the run groups. All I needed was to see it and I was hooked, I couldnt wait for the next event!!! As soon as I got home I mailed out my registration form and I was ready to go to the next one.
Justin and I are both members of the Boston Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America (CCA) and participate in their autocross events. The club uses the old runways of a closed army base not to far from where we live. This is nice because there is nothing anywhere near the course that you could possibly hit. This is good for those occasional points in time where we may find the limits of our cars cornering capabilities!!!
Heres the list of the events that I have attended in my racing career:
